Cigarette Burns be Gone
Let's talk a minute about common courtesy and self control. Courtesy is when someone asks to bum a smoke and I say 'sure, anything for a brother of lung cancer.'
Let's talk a minute about common courtesy and self control. Courtesy is when someone asks to bum a smoke and I say 'sure, anything for a brother of lung cancer.' Self control means that although I am extending a courtesy, in my mind I have bludgeoned you to death with a two-by-four that has a rusty nail sticking out of the business end. Do you realize how expensive these things are? Probably not, because if you were a real smoker you wouldn't have to bum a cigarette - a pack would be with you at all times. But for your education it costs about 31 cents per cigarette, which adds up quickly when More than one person bums a cigarette during the day. A pack of Cigarettes occupies a distinguished place in the priorities of a smoker, equal to that of your wallet, car keys, cell phone and condom. Casual smokers, or "swishers" (as I?call them because they don't inhale the smoke) don't need to smoke and therefore do not find it necessary to pay for their Cigarettes; instead they ask me for one. For the most part I oblige because I'm not a complete ass, but there has been the odd occasion (while smoking) that I have been approached and asked "can I bum a cigarette" that I have responded "you do realize this is a smoke free campus."
